While at Government Executive, I designed and produced a steady stream of marketing emails. These targeted emails always contained essential elements of successful direct marketing:

- Obvious and easy response
- Limited time
- Attractive offer
Unfortunately, Outlook does not recognize W3 standards, so these emails were made with HTML tables and inline styles.
